On Monday, September 9th 2019 we were joined in Dolans by R.Kitt, Headsgone & Spireview!
R.Kitt a.k.a. Robbie Kitt is someone who we've been keeping our eye on for quite a while! One of the good folks behind Dublins Dip Collective, he is known for sets comprised of house, disco and off-kilter electronica and is a firm believer in the cultural value of club spaces and the communities that surround them. He's fresh off the back of his Boiler Room debut at Belfast's AVA festival where he played a high energy live electronic set which we recommend that you check out! Away from the dancefloor, Robbie is an important cog in the Give us the Night campaign which as you know is something we feel very strongly about. So not only is he a top-notch selector and all-round music man, he's also working hard to secure Ireland's nightlife culture for future generations, with all this said it's no understatement to say we were very excited to have R.Kitt make his Cabal debut.
HEADSGONE is the alias of Cork based producer Ben O'Regan, who under his former moniker 'Boy Regan' came onto our radar as one of Cork's unsung hip-hop contributors. Ben's productions have been slowly gravitating towards a more upbeat blend of house music over the last year and this new direction was solidified with his latest release 'EVERYTHING' which is an energetic dance floor cut. Throughout this transformation Ben has showed his versatility as a producer and why he should be a household name in the Irish music scene. We were proud to present HEADSGONE at Cabal 017, where he joined us on the terrace for a rare hip-hop set, which will trace his influences from the early soundcloud beat scene, to the modern landscape of rap, trap, and everything in between.
Spireview aka Ross Machala is an electronic producer, dj, and multi-instrumentalist residing in Bangor, County Down. Ross made his mark on the ambient and electro scene with his debut project 'The Observation Tapes' and through his contribution to the Born Sleepy 'Waves in Motion" collaboration EP which picked up traction with Orb Mag, FOUR FOUR, and Clash Magazine, all sharing individual cuts from the tape. Spireview took over the Cabal Social Club all night long, providing an ambient soundtrack to your downtime from the dancefloor.
