The Limerick based Hip-Hop DJ is one of the Co – Founders of Limerick Night Prescription which has been making waves in limerick and further afield for well over a year now. The night tries to capture and promote the best Hip-Hop Ireland has to offer, and have hosted many names such as KOJAQUE & Mango ( Mango X MathMan) among many others. DJ Replay’s Mix is one for the Old school fans with tracks from Nas, Ghostface Killah & Method Man.

 Our 21st Local Selector is Dublin Based DJ & Producer, Karl Guest. Guest solidified his position in the Dublin music scene through a residency with one of the most prolific nights around, Toast Dublin! As well as making some regular appearances for Techno & CansInbhir and The Building Society.Guest is also no stranger to the Irish festival circuit with appearances at BD FestivalLife FestivalElectric Picnic and Boxed Off.

This week we bring to you Zeitgeist. The galway DJ duo are made up of Mark McDermott and Martin Donellan. The pair met during college over a shared bond of digging for records, and their sets reflect that. The pair have played most clubs in Galway. Giving a unique set every time. On this weeks Local Selector, we have Evan Flaherty, AKA Flash. The Galway man has not been quiet over the last year with Residencies in Carbon Nightclub and Massimo Bar, and most recently his Thursday night residency in 44 Galway. Flaherty is also Co-founder of Trilla_Galway. If you’re in Galway in the next few weeks, dont be surprised to see the man on the decks in the Beer tent.

The aim of Evan’s sets is fun and unpredictability, and it’s not uncommon for them to have a piece of every genre in there.

On this weeks Local Selector we have Dublin based DJ AJ Ferris. The Toast Dublin resident has no shortage of experience under his belt, from supporting KiNK in District 8, to many festivals such as BD and Boxed Off, castlepalooza & Scrobarnach. He is also an upcoming producer with his edit of ‘Party in Me’ being featured on our newest endevour, Cabal Cuts.

AJ’s genres of choice are House and Disco as you can hear in his mix below. Take a listen and enjoy.

Anti Social Acid Club is the brainchild of Ciaran Ward & David Kavanagh. The night started back in March with the booking of Ansome. Since then the boys have brought their night from strength to strength with such bookings as Techno & CansProcess 404I Hate ModelsMyler as well booking a number of local DJ’s. The Duo’s ethos is to not take themselves too seriously and they stay true to that by playing anything from Techno to hardcore,and “anything gas”. The boys have put together an hour long mix of Hard, fast techno from start to finish.

We are delighted to present this weeks mix from James O’Callaghan.The Tralee native, now based in Galway heads up the club night Fiction & is also a member of the DJ duo BPM. Both projects have given the man some great opportunities including support for DJ’s such as EjecaSolardoFriend Within & Citizenn. Fiction is a strictly Techno night that has seen some international acts such as Jacob B Official & Ian O’Donovan. More recently though, James got the chance of a slot in room 2 of The Wright Venue while Jamie Jones & Flashmob held down the main room. While all of this was happening, James still had a regular slot in Carbon’s Der Kesselraum. Bright things lay ahead for the young man.

On this weeks issue from our Local Selector Series, we feature a mix from Limerick native Maedbh OConnor. With years under her belt in the Irish dance music scene, Maedbh has held a regular slot at the renowned DieNight Limerick and performed at festivals such as Life and Scrobarnach.

Expect a high-energy set, packed full of techno bangers, and as always follow our Local Selector Series on our Mixcloud so you won’t miss a beat.

This weeks mix comes from Dublin Native Josh McDonagh. The DJ has no shortage of experience under his belt. As a regular on the bill in Hangar, he displays his experience in his expertly crafted mix for us. Also as a producer, Josh has had his tracks swooped up by the likes of ooukfunkyoo, eventually released by Stoop. Josh brings a different tone to this weeks mix with his Selection of Hard Hitting Techno.

This Weeks mix comes from Athlone Native, Barry Goode. The Dublin Based DJ heads up the well known clubnight UFO Club. A good friend of Cabal, having played at our second event, Barry has had no shortage of big gigs under his belt. As well as supporting acts such as FoukSpace Dimension Controller, & Brame & Hamo, UFO Club will be bringing Ross From Friends and Or:la to Dublin & Galway respectively, with Barry on support for both gigs. To top that all off, he will be supporting Baltra for one of Boxed Off’s after parties in The Grand Social. Barrys mix Brings to the table a lovely blend of the smoother side of house, all the way to some heavier stuff at the very end.

From supporting Harrison BDP to playing at the famous Bruce Willis event night in The Wah Wah Club, Adamant brings us a mix that dives into all sorts of funky territory. Co Founder of his own label Doubleu that provides disco and deep house to all its listeners, there’s plenty more in store for this man in the future. Fresh off his new EP release with Shee, Adamant is set for a few unannounced gigs this fall.

This weeks mix comes from Kildare native but Berlin based musician, Sean Dempsey. His mix delves into the exploration of hypnotic sounds and takes you on an hour-long journey through the lesser known side of electronic techno music. With tracks from Tale Of US, Ameile Lens & Farrago, Aphex Twin and Autechre, take a listen below.

Issue 9.

This week we’ve got Dublin’s very own Wastefellow. After playing shows at Forbidden Fruit, Body & Soul, and most recently Castlepalooza, he sat down to put together an eclectic selection of tracks that brings us into some of the stranger sides of electronic music.

With tracks from Lapalux, Holy Other and an unreleased track from Wastefellow himself, this mix is a piece of work not to be missed.

The next mix in the series comes from Jake Nolan a Clare man who’s pushing the techno scene in Ireland at the moment.
Currently in Berlin ahead of making his DJing debut there with DSNT & Killekill the Subtech & Techno & Cans Resident has put together an hour long mix packed full of proper rave tunes that is guaranteed to get you going!

Issue 7.

Our next guest in our Local Selectors series is no stranger to many of you. Killarney native David Sheerin AKA Shee. has been tearing up the Irish scene at the minute. Holding Residency’s in Limerick With both Touch of Techno and Habitat is just the tip of the iceberg.Fresh off the back of some stellar performances at festivals such as Life Festival and Mass, he has not slowed down one bit with his new EP, Lakota just hitting the virtual shelves on juno Download and also available to stream on Spotify. For this mix, Shee brings us the best of funk and house.

This weeks mix comes from a young Dublin based DJ and resident ofModulate Dublin and Altered States Dublin, Ryan Brady. In this hour long mix, Ryan delivers us a taste of his favourite techno tracks from Stranger, Tommy Holohan and some heavy artists from the Italian label, Archivio 01.

Galway based journalist by day, Resident DJ of VereiSeN by night, Coili Collins bring us a taste of his favourtie tracks mixed seamlessly in this hour long edition of the local selector series. His songs vary from up-beat house, grime, minimal techno and ending with some 90s inspired rave from the Prodigy.

This week we have Dublin based Duo Dead Sound with an hour long mix packed full of house. Featuring tracks from Palms Trax, Derrick Carter & a couple of unreleased Dead Sound Originals.

This week we have a thumping mix from Clare based DJ/Producer Eric Moore. Make an appointment with your dentist before giving this a listen because it’s an hour of Techno that will kick your teeth in featuring tracks from Ben Sims, Pounding grooves & DJ Shufflemaster.

This week, Sean Aherne a Limerick based DJ/Producer put together a selection of his favourite tracks for us in an hour long journey through house and disco. His mix includes tracks from Bobby Analog, Da Posse, and a stellar Four Tet remix.

This week’s mix is from Luke Prendergast, a DJ/Producer originally from Cork, now residing in Limerick where we first came in contact with him. His mix features artists like Artifacts, Lord Quas and Funkdoobiest in a blend of hip hop, rap, and beats.
